GO FOR KOGEI Satellite supported by the MUFG Kogei Project
This satellite exhibition takes place in Kakinokibatake, an area adjacent to the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. Structured like an archipelago of exhibitions, GO FOR KOGEI has, since 2021, hosted shows at historically and culturally significant sites throughout the Hokuriku region. The satellite exhibition inherits this philosophy while aiming to create spaces that offer a deeper, more tangible sense of local identity.

The area of Kakinokibatake, designated as a fire prevention zone during the Edo period, gets its name from persimmon trees planted there. Even today, it is a place where one can feel the flow of water along the outer moat of Kanazawa Castle. Unique galleries and restaurants line the canal, making this culturally rich area one of the iconic landscapes of contemporary Kanazawa. Through the GFK Satellite, artists connected to Kanazawa are introduced to the public, promoting the diversity and creativity of the region's vibrant culture.
